Back On The Ball!

Mine and James breakfast
I am completely ashamed of my self. This weight loss trip seemed to be like all the others because I became pray of the "I am too busy to workout and eat right" mentality.  But anyone can fit that in their life no matter how busy they are. "Those who do not find time for exercise will have to find time for illness".  The other reason I have been MIA is that me and my boyfriend  both got sick because of the winter months and did not have the strength to work out and cookies were just so much more appetizing.   I don't like my current weight and I am ready to do something about it!  I am not paying $35 a month just to gain weight now!  Right this second I am so sore because yesterday I hit the gym hard. I did a mile on the treadmill, did some weights, played racket ball and went swimming.  Yes I over did it.  Summer is on its way only 16 weeks until June 14th (Kevin's Graduation day) and when that day comes I need to be in a bikini! That is really scary! However, if I really crack down and lose a healthy 2 Lb a week I can lose 32 Lbs in this time frame. "fingers crossed"! I know I cant spot reduce but I think if I concentrate on my stomach I can get mussels and a flat tummy. I am at a good start this morning I am proud of myself. But day one isnt the hard one it is the days that follow.
Really small ways to fit exercise in the day
  • Dance when I wake up and get ready in the morning
  • Do a quick ten min work out or at least  50 situps before school
  • skip or run to class
  • Pace when I talk on the phone
  • Take my dog on a walk and spice it up with interval running jogging walking
  • Jog in place or crunches during commercials
  • Make exercise a priority so if I think I don't have time for exercise think "do I have time for this tv show, Do I have time to be on the internet?" Time is consumed very quickly by the media. Like right now I could be jogging or something.
Unachievable body in 16 weeks but my dream  bikini body

Broke Every Rule In The Book

Well this past weekend was a million steps back from what I am striving for.  I did a rode trip to Washington to see my grandma Susan then went to Oregon for my Grandma Kathy's Celebration of Life.  I hit up fast food for every meal on the road and when I was at a home I was shoveling chips, chocolates and what ever else I could get my hands on.  This is how bad I messed up-
Yeah I was Bad- Eating Dirt Donut
  • I haven't ate McDonald's in over a year, now I ate McDonald's Friday January 7th. I had a McChicken and shared a small fry.
  • I waited 45 min in line in Portland Or. for Donuts from Voodoo donuts on Saturday the 8th.
  • I haven't eaten beef in 2 years and on Saturday 1/08/11 I ate meat balls in my spaghetti because my aunt who I haven't seen in 10 years made them and I didn't have the heart to tell her that I don't eat beef.
Now I am back in town and ready to start fresh.

New Year, New Me :D

Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.  ~Oprah Winfrey

2011 Is here! I want to make an impression, I want to make this year count.   I have many high end goals and expectations of myself...I always do. One thing that my boyfriend gave to me as motivation for this year is that no matter what, even if I don't lose any weight, I have to wear a bikini this summer :0. That is enough motivation I am sure! Now if only he would stop tempting me with candy, fast food, and sleeping in instead of going to the gym. Hey a girl can dream!

My Health New Year Resolutions
  • Lose 50 Lb
  •  By- working out 3 days a week min
  • Drink 6-10 glasses of water a day

  • Add variety, try new things to keep me excited

Acne

I have struggled with my weight and with acne all my life. My face can get pretty good now in days and then all of a sudden my pores have a mutiny against me and declare war.  After starting to work out my face broke out near my hair line were the sweat was dripping. Now that isn't an normal place for me to receive acne for mine has always been predominantly on my checks.  I got these Proactiv body pads and let me tell you they work wonders! The angry zits that were screaming to get out around my hair line were sent yelling like babies away from my face. now I still have bad acne on my checks which I hope I can solve by starting to use proactiv everyday but we will see. I will defiantly say to use these they have acne medicine in them and are a life saver. Very travel friendly and easy to just carry in my purse. I use them on my face chest and back after a work out. I would hate to be all sexy and slim but with a pizza face :[
